EAST ASIA FORUM

  • We live in an era of non-cooperation and uncertainty - Brexit, US-China trade war, a terse relationship between North and South Korea, and continuous historical disputes between neighbouring East Asian countries remain.

  • The East Asia Forum seeks to answer the big question of how cooperation in East Asia, the region which consists of more than 20% of the world’s economy and population, can be achieved.

  • The East Asia Forum is co-organised yearly by the LSE SU China Development Society, the LSE SU Japan Society, the LSE SU Korea Future Forum with support from the LSE Institute of Global Affairs. Previously the North Korean Forum, East Asia Forum morphed into its current form after the LSE SU Japan Society joined the collaborative effort in 2019.
