THE 13TH LSE SU CHINA DEVELOPMENT FORUM

Pivoting through the unprecedented

20 FEB-21 FEB 2021
LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

ABOUT US

The LSE SU China Development Forum (CDF), co-organised by the LSE SU China Development Society and the LSE Institute of Global Affairs, was first founded in 2009. Over the past 12 years, the Forum has grown phenomenally to become the most experienced and the largest China-themed forum in Europe, with an audience of over 400. The aim of the Forum is to provide a platform for both students interested in Chinese affairs as well as professionals well-versed in China studies to engage in vibrant intellectual discussions.

The 2021 CDF, themed "Pivoting Through the Unprecedented”, aims to inspire a series of intellectually stimulating discussions revolving around how the current changes and transformations that China is undergoing will reshape her future beyond the pandemic.

Joined by world-renowned speakers, the Forum will explore the strategies behind the Belt and Road Initiative. It will also answer questions regarding how China will navigate the rapidly changing globalization landscape. Meanwhile, vital issues, such as the conflict between China’s economic growth and environmental protection, will be critically assessed. Besides China’s economy and politics, the Forum will also dedicate a panel to discussing the popular narrative of China’s feminism moves.
